| Medical Qigong Forms: Energetics |
| Medical Qigong is the oldest branch of Chinese Medicine, and the newest branch of Chinese Medicine to arrive in the United States. Medical Qigong uses the energetics of Qi to bring homeostasis to the human body, as well as the emotions and Mind. The protocols for table work are taken from clinics in China and the Forms of Medical Qigong used by Leas Maria utilize classical Taoist movements as well as culturally unique offerings of Medical Qigong such as that found in Wild Goose Qigong which is having an important influence in the treasure of Medical Qigong now moving through practitioners on US soil. Medical Qigong utilizes all the important information in Classical Chinese Medicine as well as that of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a relatively new formulation of Chinese Medicine deemed appropriate to share with the Western cultures by the current Chinese government. Leas's studies at Five Branches University of Chinese Medicine gave her a wonderful academic foundation for studies in Medical Qigong. Leas Maria, M.M.Q. has worked to understand her natural gifts as an energetically gifted practitioner since she was five years old. She could place her hands on the head of an adult with a severe headache or pain at age five and within seconds the headache or pain would be removed. She fell in love with Medical Qigong under the influence of Jose Gonzalas, M.M.Q. who is a student of Dr. Jerry Allen Johnson, D.M.Q. She found Medical Qigong after studying holistic healing for 20 years. During her studies of the Medical Qigong protocols which Jerry brought back from clinics from China, Leas began to discover her deeper innate gifts all over again. She pursued the curriculum vigorously and has had extraordinary results using Medical Qigong. Leas believes that people are best helped through the practice of sitting, standing and movement, even when they are very weak and must be assisted to move the body at all. She recognizes that patients may need table work in the beginning of treatment, but moves as quickly as is wise to a movement organized Medical Qigong. As a result of her success with sick people, Leas has developed her own style of Medical Qigong and calls it Medical Qigong Forms. She is currently writing and producing materials to share with the Energetic Medicine Community on Medical Qigong Forms. She is interested in all feedback and information. |
