| Maps of Consciousness is the name of a body of work which makes learning about ourselves and our universe direct and fun. The technology for this discipline was originated by a man named George Simon who lived in San Francisco in the sixties. Leas was trained in his methods by both Chris Feldman O’Reilly who was George’s teaching partner and Tim O’Reilly who compiled George’s notebooks after his death in 1973. In the “consciousness work”, as it was originally named, people learned first to experience their immediate circumambient world directly through experiencing vibrations together and then talking about what they had experienced. They then proceeded to develop languages for the direct experiences they were having in groups, both Intrapersonally and Interpersonally. Bringing new consciousness into our immediate reality is part of Maps of Consciousness. In “Direct Experience” work we experience our Minds and the “levels” of development which arise as we unify with their morphogenetic fields. We experience our Body as a set of unified vibrations, and we develop healing modalities from these direct experiences. We journey through Human Potential using methods which we develop as we journey, as well as refining those tools which prove viable. Leas Maria has taught this work as Maps of Consciousness and has applied the assimilation of new consciousness using the four quadrants of George Simon to study Traditional Chinese Medicine, Buddhism and Hinduism as well as evolution, past present and future. Each group Leas has trained since 1978 has been different in the Maps of Consciousness method. Because it builds upon itself, it allows us to grow more resilient vis a vis the normal challenges we all encounter in progressing upon our life path. Once you own a language for your own direct experience of your universe, you become a larger part of that universe and a more adept assistant to the smooth progress of the Cosmos and Mother Earth.
